During a family cook out for the Lumberton Civic Women's League, I was chosen their very first Sweetheart. The league even bought me a pretty tiara. Nice huh?
Mrs. McCauley pauses to tell me how pretty she thinks I am.
Here I am with some of the ladies from the Women's league.
The vote for LCWL's sweetheart was between me and my best friend Haleigh Svboda.
I had my very own makeup artist do my makeup for the Homecoming parade. Jeannette Suire, a beauty consultant for Mary Kay cosmetics, drove from Nederland to Lumberton at 7 in the morning just to do my makeup.
Mrs. Suire took me outside to make sure that the coloring on my makeup was good. We tested different colors. Since I'm so fair, she had to change my makeup three different times.
She didn't mind at all having to redo my makup. She told me that its her job to make me happy with how I look.
When mom took my pictures, Mrs. Suire helped me get my corsage on my dress.
My mom made my corasage. We had looked at different ones around Lumberton and Beaumont. Some where priced $150.00. Although, the mum area was bigger, mine had WAY more ribbons and "stuff" on it. Besides, my mum was still pretty big.
AND .. I got to use a blue mum instead of a white one like the others that I had seen. Mine is unique and special (like my mom tells me that I am).
