Although doctors once told my parents to put him away and forget him, we realized that we had God on our side. My brother does not know his family as "daddy', "mama" or "sissy", but he tells us apart by touching and smelling.

When he is around someone who is not comfortable with him, he will not have anything to do with them. Because of this, I believe that he can tell his family from other people.

From the time we were young, my brother and I have had a very special relationaship. Maybe it was because he needed special care that drew me close to him.

I remember telling my parents that I wanted to give him my eyes so that he could see and my legs so that he could walk. My brother and I were so close that I could feel his pain when he cried.

Growing up with my brother has made me care more about people and their needs. I try to help people realize that even when things look bad, there is always some good somewhere.

If someone is only blind, they can still tell their family that they love them. My brother will never be able to tell us tha the loves us or understand when we tell him.

Although someone is different, does that mean that they are less a person? Even though someone is handicapped, that person has feelings.

People could learn alot from these handicaped people if they would just not be afraid to give them a chance.

Sometimes, I think about the doctors who told us to put my brother away.

I guess they just never knew that he is our angel....
